my 1st method:
-Boot with a any available linux live CD (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora, slax,DSL)
-Access your drive and take your info to an USB external HardDrive or USB pendrive.
Method 2:
-Boot with a any available linux live CD (Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora, slax,DSL)
-create a linux bootable USB (in ubuntu is easier, need at least 1GB flash)
-Remove the live CD and reboot with the linux USB
-burn your info on CD-R or DVD-R (depending on your drive)
Method 3,
if some of your friendes has a 17/18" laptop, those usually has 2 slots for HDD
so, you can remove your HDD and install it on your friend computer, then access and backup in any available media, even in his hdd meanwhile you get fix yours.
or mey be this should be the 1st.
if you have the original XP installation disk boot with it, then it will detect your sistem and it will give you the option of repair. (but I really don't trust on this last)
